The Novonovo Platform is a digital space where users can find secondary materials and develop new projects using resources that already exist.
We make production surpluses, offcuts, unsold stock and other materials available that retain their quality but often remain invisible or unused.
By organising and making this information accessible, we make it easier to integrate these materials into architecture, design and construction projects.
Many materials with reuse potential are scattered across factories, workshops, warehouses and construction sites.
The problem is not a lack of resources, but the difficulty of identifying and characterising them and connecting them with those who can use them.
Novonovo was created to make these materials visible and accessible, allowing them to return to the production cycle before they become waste.
The process involves:
Users can search for materials, save selections, develop ideas and request a quote for material acquisition or project development using three tools:
Material library
A digital catalogue of secondary materials from companies and suppliers.
Community
An independent sharing space where users can publish requests and look for materials that are not available on the platform.
Studio
A tool for experimenting with transformations, creating compositions and developing ideas from materials saved as favourites.
To facilitate material reuse, we support project development at different stages, offering services such as:
Some of these services can be requested directly on the platform during the quotation stage.
The first version of the Novonovo Platform was developed with the support of a crowdfunding campaign.
Since then, the project has evolved through collaboration with industries, suppliers, architects, designers and institutions.
In 2026, the platform entered a new phase of development supported by the Recovery and Resilience Plan, with new tools for suppliers, professionals and clients.
Novonovo is a project by Materialateral — Limited Liability Cooperative.

The Novonovo Platform was created to make information about secondary materials available for recovery and/or reuse easier to access.
The material library is a public catalogue of secondary materials inventoried from partner industries or located in the “Novonovo Warehouse”. Here, it is possible to place orders or request design consultancy services.
The community was designed to encourage the autonomous circulation of secondary materials in the creation of new products and/or structures through listings created by the community itself. This is a free access and free use space (peer to peer), where Novonovo has no intervention in the type of information provided, prices or conditions of material transactions.
The Studio is a tool for experimenting with transformations, creating compositions and developing ideas from materials saved as favourites.
Novonovo acts as an intermediary and manager, bridging creatives and industries for the development of projects with secondary materials. It provides design consultancy and project management services, and created the Platform as a tool to facilitate this process.
1. sign in, go to the Material library and select the material you want;
2. click “Quote request”;
3. choose “Buy” or “Develop a project”, specify the quantity and required work, and click “Add to cart”;
4. open the Cart, confirm the selected materials, quantities and work, and click “Continue to summary”;
5. provide the required details and services, review the summary, and click “Confirm request”.
No. At present, we only supply the materials shown on the platform, but we offer a sourcing service to find specific materials for projects.
Yes. However, costs vary depending on the order and/or work developed. For this reason, it is not possible to provide a fixed price table.
Fill out this form. We will get in touch as soon as possible.
Prices are calculated together with partner industries, based on:
• recovery costs
• storage costs
• physical and mechanical condition / material quality
• market values
It depends. As mentioned above, our storage space is quite limited, so we only recover small quantities of materials with higher recovery potential. In any case, if you have materials to clear out, send us an email at novonovo.co@gmail.com with the following information:
• photographs showing the different types of materials and approximate quantity
• a brief description of the materials
• location
• collection deadline
• whether transport is required for collection (yes or no)
Send us a proposal at info@novonovo.co or fill out this questionnaire and join the Novonovo Network!
Yes. In addition to the material, we also have a network of professionals with whom we collaborate to develop and follow design projects through all their stages. You can also indicate the services you require when placing your order.
